Douglas Reichwein is an artist, author, teacher, and relationship adviser. A California native, as a young adult Douglas was drawn to the East Coast and while living on Nantucket he designed and built custom homes. In 2006, he and his wife, Sheryll, purchased The Beach Rose Inn on Cape Cod and began his fine art career, enrolling as a matriculated student in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Among his many artistic achievements, in 2015 Douglas received a commission to create "Sun Catcher," a public art sculpture installed at the heart of Nantucket Island. Douglas' recent book, I Love You Because: 7 Keys to Epic Romance, showcases his 2-D art, along with poetry and essay, as part of an exploration of relationship.
Sheryll Reichwein, M.A., brings more than twenty-five years of experience to her work as an educator, journalist, author, and subject matter expert.
An adjunct professor of communication at Cape Cod Community College and consultant to Cengage Learning, parent company of National Geographic Learning, her numerous articles and books, including 50 Ways to Create a Healthy & Harmonious Home published by Chronicle Books and most recently Au Coeur: Why Beauty Matters Now, reflect her passion for teaching proven tools for positive change.
